Course Overview

During this Childcare First Aid training, your staff will learn how to respond to emergencies in education and care settings. This includes CPR and defibrillation, administering an auto-injector for anaphylaxis, administering asthma medication, immobilisation, and managing common first aid situations for adults, children, and infants in line with Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines. ACECQA approved first aid.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a nationally recognised certificate covering the following units:

HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
HLTAID010 – Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting

Course Location

For a group of over 6 people, we come to your business location anywhere in Perth and surrounds.

We also help you coordinate your team, whether it’s large or small. We can train 20, 50, 100, 200 or more.

This HLTAID012 course is delivered onsite at your workplace and can be booked at any date and time that suits your business.

We offer flexible scheduling across Perth and surrounding areas, including weekdays or weekends, after-hours options, lunch breaks, evenings, mornings or anytime – so you can train your team with minimal disruption to operations.

This is a blended course with online self-study theory and face-to-face training.

Prior to face-to-face study, students are required to complete e-learning. On average it takes around 4 hours for online study.

In-person training includes hands-on practice and takes 2 hours.

Participants must have the physical capacity to perform the practical demonstrations such as 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor and performing rescue breathing techniques on manikins

Online study: Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic devices with access to the internet to complete the online/ pre-course studies.

Students undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks.
