Challenge

The college required onsite First Aid and CPR training for a large number of staff, delivered efficiently across one student-free day. Participants needed different qualifications, with half completing CPR (HLTAID009) and the other half requiring HLTAID012 for those working closely with students aged 5–17.

The training had to be organised across multiple classrooms at the same time, ensuring smooth coordination of over 160 staff in a single day, with minimal disruption and a simple process for participants to find their groups and complete their assessments. Each session ran for 45 minutes for CPR and 2 hours for First Aid. All staff achieved competency.

Solution

Pre-Training Coordination & On-Site Delivery

Staff were pre-enrolled and completed online theory prior to the training day.
Training was delivered on-site across four classrooms simultaneously, with our four trainers

Practical sessions run on a student-free day (morning & afternoon).
Face-to-face practical: CPR participants complete 45 min and leave; remaining participants stay for First Aid - total 2 hours.
Room setup: normal four classrooms, chairs arranged for practice, returned after training.
Participants grouped via classroom door lists on arrival.
Certificates issued in 24 hours; absentees scheduled later.
